Self-Xpression

Project 1

Brief & Tasks

You will need to unravel your creative side and inner self through several specific modes of communication or art form. As designers, you will need to generate ideas from self-identity through personal interests, preferences, attitude and personality.

These ideas and qualities will applied on an artwork to be worn on the specific part of body, for instance, hand, head or face and etc that is used for creativity and making. The artwork must be interpreted in ABSTRACTED FORM in basic element of design (lines, shapes, textures and colours) to show the rigorous design of thinking and highest form of creative interpretation.

design concept

Defining me with laziness and overthinking is the most suitable adjectives. But at the same time, I'm a observant as well as a good listener. From the bad parts, I tend to procrastinate my works before I reach the deadline of my tasks. The workload started to pile into a hill. Plus, overthinking is one of the biggest reason that pulls me away from conversations. Meanwhile for the the good parts, I'm very patience and good at listening to people's problem and eventually help them to solve their problems.

Presentation Board

As a shy person, would always try to hide myself from other's sight and judgement. When all the judmental words and weird-looking sight started to focus. I will always feel insecure and lack of confident. So hiding my face could be a hideaway from the public judgements.

The mask is called 'The Sight' and it signifies the insecureness, shy and discreet personalities. The mask is to used to cover up my face from public, with the artificial eyes protraits that I'm a observant person, which i always stash myself underneath but observe people's emotions. Meanwhile the fox ears is a interpretation of good listener as fox is greatly sensitive to surrounding sounds.
